Frequently Asked Questions

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Open the App and go to Settings → Subscription. From there you can purchase the one-time Pro upgrade for £24.99 via the App Store. If you've previously purchased Pro on another device, tap Restore Purchase to unlock it again at no extra cost.

What's included in the free tier?

The free tier gives you access to your current exercise and the two exercises on either side of it — five exercises in total. You can prepare, debrief, and track progress for those exercises without paying anything. Upgrading to Pro unlocks all 19 CAA exercises from the CAP 1298 syllabus.

Can I use the app without an internet connection?

Yes, partially. Exercise briefs and flashcards are cached locally on your device so you can access them offline. However, an internet connection is required for live weather data, AI-powered debrief, the Ask AI Instructor feature, and syncing your lesson records to the cloud.

How do I link my instructor?

Go to Settings → Link Instructor in the App to generate an invite code. Share this code with your instructor — once they enter it in their Flight Path Instructor account, you'll be linked and they'll be able to view your progress and add lesson notes.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. This action is permanent — all your data, including lessons, progress, and your profile, will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. Firebase Auth credentials are removed immediately.

The AI debrief isn't generating — what do I do?

First, check that you have an active internet connection — the AI debrief requires a live connection to generate feedback. If you're connected but still having issues, try closing and reopening the App. If the problem persists, please contact us at support@getflightpath.app with details of the exercise and lesson so we can investigate.
